With very kind thanks to Slade primary school we enjoyed another sports day on their field.
Our day started with a visit to each of the stalls- face painting, prize tombola, jam jar tombola, hook-a-duck and the book stall. All of our stalls were full of prizes and books kindly donated by the families of Sevington playgroup.
Then the games began! With a running race, hurdles, sack races and egg and spoon race its safe to say the children had a ball and all loved their stickers and medals presented to them at the end. It seemed as though the mums and dads race was enjoyed too- we hope you're all training for next year!
We had an ice cream van on site, our refreshment stall selling tea, coffee and cakes and the bouncy castle (which was a massive hit!
It was lovely to see our children and their family's enjoy a wonderful day together- Thank you all for coming.
Finally, Thank you to the staff and the committee for organising such a successful event. We raised a massive £660.60 from the raffle and stall sales and can't wait to do it all again next year!

we headed to godstone farm for our annual playgroup trip. The coach collected our group of excited children and parents from the library just after 9am. On arriving we met the staff and everyone who chose to come by car, after confirming numbers our first port of call was to the picnic barn for our health and safety talk detailing the importance of hand washing after touching the animals. With the boring (yet very important!) Bit aside, we made our way to the tractor rides, we squeezed and squashed into the trailers and off we went. Taking us around the whole of the farm the children very much enjoyed their bumpy sightseeing adventure. From there we broke off into families/groups and explored the farm, we had lots of things to chose from! We spent the day seeing, stroking, holding and learning about the animals, enjoying the indoor soft play, digging in the giant sandpit and jumping around the huge adventure playground.
A good day was had by all and we can't wait to do it again next year!
